History of the Seegüetli.

The stately house on the lake was built in 1913 by J.J.H. Wüst, a partner in the former cement stone and cement pipe factory, Horgen. In 1972, the municipality of Horgen was able to acquire this property. For many years it was inhabited by a family of doctors.

In 1986, the property was taken over by the municipality of Horgen in building rights by the Seegüetli trade cooperative, which was founded by members of the Horgen Trades and Crafts Association. Subsequently, the house was renovated according to the purpose of the cooperative.

In recent years, the cooperative has invested steadily in the property. It was also adapted to the changed needs of tenants.

In addition to the renovation of the facade, the party room and the kitchen were renovated, all kitchen appliances and the heating system were replaced, an outdoor bar was built and in 2022 the entire furniture was renewed, so that today the Seegüetli shines again in new splendor.
